Using pure nickel foil as intermediate transition layer, under the pulse pressure diffusion bonding process, the TA17 OCr18Ni9Ti stainless steel and titanium alloy connection test, and the determination of the tensile strength of joint.
The results show that adopting cymbal foil as intermediate pulse pressure diffusion bonding of transition metals, has realized the good connection, the efficiency of titanium alloy and stainless steel joint tensile strength reached 334 MPa. The metallographic microscope and scanning electron microscopy (sem), on the tensile fracture morphology observation and analysis; Microregion components in each region of tensile fracture were determined by EDS. The results show that the tensile fracture occurs between Ni-Fe and Ni-TI, and both ni-Fe and Ni-TI bear tensile forces, and the existence of intermediate layer Ni successfully prevents the mutual diffusion between Fe and Ti.
