   1. Mining

   2. Ore dressing

The final concentrate contains molybdenite 70% to 90%. If necessary, the impurities such as copper and lead can be removed by acid leaching.

 

   3. Roasting

   The molybdenum concentrate can be transformed into industrial molybdenum oxide after roasting. The molybdenum concentrate is roasted in a large multi chamber furnace or calciner, and the calcination temperature is 600~700 degrees C. Molybdenum concentrate is stirred by a stirring rake to move the material from the center of the hearth to the next layer and then back to the center of the furnace, so that the uniform air flow is circulated in the 12 or more furnace layers for 10 hours. The final product - Industrial molybdenum oxide generally contains Mo less than 57% and sulfur less than 0.1%.
