According to different processing methods, molybdenum crucible can be divided into four types: machine crucible, welding crucible, riveted crucible and stamping crucible.

The punched molybdenum crucible is the molybdenum crucible prepared by stamping method. Stamping is by pressing machine and die on the plate, strip, pipe and profile, so that the plastic deformation or separation, so as to obtain the required shape and size of the workpiece (stamping) forming processing method. Compared with castings and forgings, stamping parts are thin, even, light and strong. Stamping can be made with stiffeners, ribs, undulations or flanges of the workpiece, to improve its rigidity. Precision die is used in the stamping process, the workpiece precision can reach micron level, and the repeatability is high, the specification is consistent, can punch out holes and pits, boss and so on. Cold stamping parts are generally no longer machined or require only a small amount of machined parts. The precision and surface state of hot stamping parts are lower than cold stamping parts, but they are still better than castings and forgings.
