What Is The Difference Between Pure Nickel Foil And Plated Nickel Band

2024-01-05 18:00:06

Pure nickel foil is nickel content is more than 99.5

The nickel band pairs us brands: N4, N6 correspond to the Ni201 and Ni200 in ASME II, i.e. low carbon pure nickel and ordinary pure nickel (i.e. N4, Ni201, N6, Ni200).N4/N6 pure nickel belt production standard GB/ t2072-2007Nickel band state (vickers hardness) : hard (Y), semi-hard (Y2), 1,4 hard (Y4), soft (M).

Thickness: 0.05~1mm length: >=3000mm

The nickel strip is packed, marked, transported and stored according to GB88888.

Nickel band purity: 99.95% and above

Nickel strip properties: good luster, ductility, weldability

The difference between N4 and N6 pure nickel bands: the difference between N4 and N6 is the content of C, that is, low carbon pure nickel and ordinary pure nickel respectively

N4 and N6 correspond to Ni201 and Ni200 in ASME II, namely low carbon pure nickel and ordinary pure nickel

(i.e. N4 /Ni201, N6/Ni200)

N4 interchange Ni % = 99.9%, C % = 0.01% Max,

N6 Ni % = C % = 99.5% - 99.6% 0.10% Max

Corrosion resistance of pure nickel

Pure nickel is particularly resistant to alkali corrosion, no matter in high temperature or molten alkali is relatively stable, so it is mainly used in the alkali industry. Nickel is extremely stable in seawater and salt solutions and organic media (such as fatty acids, phenols, alcohols, etc.) at room temperature. Resistant to inorganic acid corrosion, in acetic acid and formic acid is not stable.

2. According to gb2054-2005, the differences between N4 and N6 are as follows:

1. Chemical composition, N4 C content is less than 0.02%, N6 C content is less than 0.15%, and the content of other elements is the same;

2. Mechanical properties: in M state, N4 Rm≥350MPa, N6 Rm≥380MPa

Note: as shown above, N4 and N6 are mainly different in C content. N4 is called low carbon pure nickel, and other elements have the same content. Due to the low carbon nature of N4, it is suitable for use in some specific circumstances, so it is good to communicate with customers about the use environment or use, so as to avoid unnecessary trouble.

Pure nickel band: with a nickel content of 99.95% or more, pure nickel has excellent mechanical properties and can be used in many different environments

High corrosion resistance, magnetostriction and magnetism, high heat transfer, high conductivity, low gas volume and low vapor pressure, etc. It has good spot welding performance, high tensile tension and convenient operation. Low resistivity (preferred for notebook battery pack) can pass more than 50A current, which is preferred for power battery pack.
