Melting and holding molten metal: 1059 centigrade lead, 1430 centigrade bismuth, 999 C lithium, 599 C mercury, 899 centigrade potassium and sodium, 850 centigrade zinc. At this time, the corrosion resistance and high temperature strength of molybdenum determine that it is the best material choice and has been widely used. molybdenum based alloys are widely used in the manufacture of sulphuric acid heat exchangers and valves.
