Application area of tantalum
Tantalum has a series of excellent properties, such as high melting point, low vapor pressure, good cold working performance, high chemical stability, strong resistance to liquid metal corrosion, and large dielectric constant of surface oxide film. Therefore, it has important applications in the fields of electronics, metallurgy, steel, chemical industry, cemented carbide, atomic energy, superconducting technology, automotive electronics, aerospace, medical and health care and scientific research.
50%-70% tantalum capacitors in the world are made of it in the form of capacitor grade tantalum and wires. Tantalum capacitors have high capacitance, low leakage current, low equivalent series resistance and high surface area because of the formation of a dense and stable amorphous oxide film with high dielectric strength on the surface of tantalum, and easy to control the anodic oxidation process of capacitors accurately and conveniently. It is widely used in industrial and technological departments such as communications (switches, mobile phones, pagers, fax machines, etc.), computers, automobiles, household and office appliances, instrumentation, aerospace, defense and military industries. Therefore, tantalum is a versatile functional material.
Association tantalum capacitance
Tantalum capacitors are made of rare metal tantalum, which is first ground into fine powder and then sintered with other media. At present, there are two kinds of processes: dry powder molding and wet powder molding. which are widely used in many circuits where ceramic capacitors can not be used because of their inherent nature, good stability, no change with the environment, and large capacitance.
At present, the world mainly has the following brands of tantalum capacitors: AVX, KEMET, VISHAY, NEC, of which AVX and VISHAY have the largest output and the best quality.
