The basic physical principle is the accumulation of free positive ions and electrons in the presence of electrons, quickly forming an electrically conductive channel that is ionized, forming a current between the two plates, causing numerous collisions between particles, forming a plasma area, and rapidly rising to 800 to 1200 degrees of high temperature. 

  The surface of the conductor melts some material at a moment. Therefore, the wire cutting machine requires more strict molybdenum wire, for example, the Mo content is not less than 99.3%, the tensile strength is better, the elongation is low, the crimp rate is large, the line diameter is uniform,  no oxide layer on the surface.

  Electrical characteristics: Modern wire cutting power provides strict requirements for electrode wire resistance or electrical conductivity. It can withstand a large cutting current with a peak of more than 700A or an average value of more than 45A, the transmission of energy must be very effective in order to provide high frequency pulse current required to achieve high surface finish (above 0.2Ra). Molybdenum wire has good conductivity and can well meet this requirement.

  Mechanical properties: molybdenum wire has good tensile strength, low elongation, large roll curvature, and uniform silk diameter. It can meet the requirements of wire cutting machine to the mechanical properties of electrode wire.
