Tungsten electrode welding as a filler metal or wire welding material used for conducting electricity. In gas welding and tungsten gas arc welding, the welding wire is used as filler metal; In submerged arc welding, electroslag welding, and other fgaws, the wire ACTS as both a filler metal and a conducting electrode.
Classification:
1. Rolled welding wire
Most of the welding wire belongs to this category, including carbon steel welding wire, low alloy structural steel welding wire, alloy structural steel welding wire, stainless steel welding wire and non-ferrous metal welding wire.
2. Casting welding wire
Some alloys, such as cobalt-cr-tungsten, cannot be wrought, rolled, or drawn, but are made by casting. It is mainly used for manual surfacing of workpiece surface to meet such special performance requirements as oxidation resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance under high temperature. Cobalt-chromium-tungsten wire several meters long can be produced by continuous pouring and liquid extrusion, which is used for automatic filament-filled tungsten gas shielded arc welding to improve welding efficiency and surfacing layer quality, as well as improve working conditions. Cast iron repair welding is sometimes cast wire.
3. Flux cored wire
The thin steel strip is rolled into a round or shaped steel tube, filled with a certain composition of powder, made by pulling the seam flux-cored wire, or the seamless flux-cored wire made by pulling the powder with the steel tube (see figure). With this kind of welding wire welding deposition efficiency, good adaptability to steel, short trial-production cycle, so it's use and use of the scope of expanding. The wire is mainly used for carbon dioxide shielded welding, submerged arc welding and electroslag welding. The composition of powder in flux-cored wire is generally similar to that of electrode coating. Flux-cored wire with slagging, gasification and arc stabilization components does not need to protect gas when welding, said the self-protection flux-cored wire, suitable for the construction of large welding structure engineering.
